Several documents of President Lopez were captured during the fall of Lomas Valentinas Fortress in December 27th, 1868. These documents were translated and published by the Argentine Government in 1869. This edition also contains the official report of Major Cunha Mattos, a Brazilian Prisoner liberated in the assault. The documents are an evidence of the brutality of Lopez Government.
